July Spotify Playlist

Sometimes my Spotify account goes weeks without a new song added to one of my many playlists, which is possibly the saddest thing for my ears. Listening to the same list of songs over and over again can become pretty repetitive and frustrating. Thankfully, this past month, I have discovered new songs that I now listen to all the time, as well as artists I may not have listened to as much in the past. Some have been on Top 100 playlists in the US for weeks, while some are not as popular. Without further ado, here is my July Spotify playlist!

1. Across the Room (feat. Leon Bridges)- ODESZA

I think I found this song while playing one of Spotify's indie playlists. I like this one because it's pretty mellow and slow, but when the song gets to the chorus it's like the artist has this huge release of energy- I love it.

2. Killin The Vibe- Ducktails

Another one from an indie playlist. I don't know what it is about these alternative/indie songs- they seem to put me in the absolute best mood. This one is super calming (listen for the tambourine and that drum beat).

3. Body- Loud Luxury, Brando

Totally different genre, but I love it. This one has been climbing the pop charts for the past few weeks, and it's doing pretty well. It has the stereotypical "beat drop" about 50 seconds in, but it's not a crazy drop like most songs nowadays, which I like.

4. God is a woman- Ariana Grande

Grande has been on a winning streak, if you ask me, with "no tears left to cry", "the light is coming" with Nicki Minaj, as well as "bed". I loveeee this one for the vocals (obviously) and the female empowerment message behind it.

5. Boo'd Up- Ella Mia

6. Hard Times- Paramore

I rediscovered this song after not listening to it for around a year, and I now remember what I loved about it. It's super upbeat and fun; it has an overall unique sound. And that chorus might be one of my favorite choruses ever (even though it's short).

7. Sit Next to Me- Foster the People

8. Taste (feat. Offset)- Tyga

9. All Mine- Kanye West

10. Far Alone (feat. Jay Ant)- G-Eazy

I freaking love this song!! It has such a cool sound, plus it's got a "hype" vibe. This is another song with a bomb chorus.

11. September- Recorded at The Tracking Room Nashville- Taylor Swift

Ok, I may be a little biased since I am the biggest Taylor fan, but this is such a beautiful cover. I already loved the original by Earth, Wind & Fire, and this cover made me love it even more. She just sounds so soft and delicate (hahahahah see what I did there). I love this.

12. No Lie- Sean Paul, Dua Lipa

13. Consequences- Camila Cabello

14. Girls Like You (feat. Cardi B)- Maroon 5

WHAT A FREAKING GOOD BEAT. AND THE CARDI VERSE IS THE BEST. That is all.

15. Cross My Mind Pt. 2 (feat. Kiiara)- A R I Z O N A

16. Be Careful- Cardi B

17. Holdin On- Hermitude Remix- Flume

18. SAD!- XXXTENTACION

19. Babe- Sugarland, Taylor Swift

20. Good As Hell- Lizzo

This must be one of the best feel-good songs out there. It gets me so pumped up and confident... Listen to this before you go out!! It's the best.
